Milan to Zurich

Taking pictures from a fast moving trains does have its problems, especially if your camera is a little slow, so please bear with us.

This is a lake in the lake district in Italy.
Here we have some Italian alps.
There were lots of tunnels on this route, many that lasted for ten minutes or longer. Here is a view of the road going into such a tunnel.
Here we have an old world type chalet with some modern art...
Here is a hugh factory in the middle of a beautiful setting. It seemed so out of place. The next picture shows beautiful old buildings right next to the factory.

Now we are coming into Switzerland!
Lovely meadows and alps, and stone fence posts.
I think this may be Waldensee, but I am not sure. It is a lovely, deep lake.

Our arrival in Zurich was made more interesting by the fact that we failed to switch trains when we should have (thought we'd bought a ticket all the way to where we needed to go) and ended up going on the Schaffenhausen, almost to the German border. That was a little nerve wracking and expensive, but we got a ticket back to where we needed to be and all was well.
