Well, we have been here for five days now. the condo is amazing! I will take some pictures but can't post any yet because we for got the cord for uploading pictures to the computer. Everything is furnished except what you need to actually cook, so we decided that it was worth not eating out all the time to buy some things for the kitchen. A medium frying pan with a lid, a medium saucepan w/ lid and a steaming basket, a cutting board, and we are in business! A friend here gave us a coffee maker and a can of Vietnamese coffee!
Dad saw a doctor yesterday, recommended by a good dentist we saw the day before. He was trained at USC Med school and is an oral surgeon. VERY efficeint! Dad saw him, got a panoramic xray and a CT scan in one day. There are two bone fragments up in his sinus area from the previous surgery that need to come out. Not sure yet about the condition of the actual maxillary bone, if there is infection in that. Tomorrow we see an ENT surgeon who may be the one doing the surgery. The Dr. said, "Ah, you are missionaries, that is why you did not sue the doctor who did this last surgery..." Sigh. Yeah.
It is all souls day today so everything is quiet in the city as many are gone to the provinces to vist their dead relatives. Speaking of quiet, this condo is really quiet! It is hermetically sealed! We thought it was quiet because it was on the 26th floor, but when we opened the window in the kitchen, we found out that it could be noisy. We are so glad it is not!

Well, I am glad you were finally able to get a GOOD doctor, and I'll be praying that the surgeon is at the top of his game when it counts. Hopefully, all of this will soon be taken care of!
