Here we have our working guys, who did come on Thursday (it wasn't raining). As of this moment, they are almost finished with our room and are part way finished with my office and mostly done with the hallway. We are sleeping in the couple's guest room, which is actually quite nice! I can now recommend it personally. We will move back to our room tonight or tomorrow. Now that the floors are becoming a shining white (with green marbling), all the 'white' woodwork and cabinets look extremely dingy. Guess what's next...
Yes, here is our very first Christmas package of the season! It appears we shared our Merry Christmas with the Rats of the Manila post office. I am sure they were able to detect that the sender worked in the Manila post office at the end of WW2 and assumed at least some of the chocolate was for them...

Hi Lu! Nice to see the progress in your "long hall." It's lookin' good! Too bad about the rat eaten package! What was in it? Thanks for keeping us supplied with pictures of your house. And I'm glad to know that the couples guest room is suiting your needs!
That is two bars of Trader Joe's Belgian chocolate, and we will be able to eat most of it! The photo and the small computer connector also arrived unharmed.
