Imagine guys bring bags and bags of cement and sand into your house and making cement, right there in the middle of your bedroom or living room. That's what they are doing here! Our floors were not really even, and we knew this. But we didn't know how uneven they were! The head tiler (named Ellie) uses a long, clear, flexible tube as a level and from a point of reference, they level the floor of the whole house with cement as they go, effectively lowering the ceiling and inch or so.
They have finished our room and we have moved back in. My office is finished and Dad has moved all his stuff in here with me. The guest rooms are tiled but not yet grouted, and the pictures above are what was happening in the living room earlier today.
They are doing a very good job, and it is looking great! We think they will be finished within the week!
