Eleventh Anniversary

Yesterday we all went to Gingoog for the 11th Anniversary celebration of Gingoog Bible Fellowship. We had a good time seeing many friends! We had thought something was wrong between us and Pastor Cesar but found out there was not, so that was a pleasant relief! Jimmy preached and Alma gave her testimony. The things Alma said were really amazing, especially since I remember what she was like before she really knew the Lord. Patsy and I used to talk and speculate about whether she really understood yet, but when she really did understand, the changes were apparent! She talked about how she loves the Word and wants to please the Lord, and how this has changed her marriage and family. She said that at her husband's recent birthday, her husband spoke up and said that he is very blessed because he has what he needs but he also has a good family and a relationship with his wife that is free from problems, and he said it was God he had to thank for it!

I especially enjoyed having time to visit with my friend Elma! We haven't seen each other or talked for quite a while, mostly because we have been so busy. We got back to CDO by 5:30 pm. It sure is an easier trip to make if the driving is done during daylight hours. We took Micheal, Marivec's brother, with us to Gingoog so he could praise the Lord there for his sister's improvement. She has begun to speak, asking for some water to drink!
