Last Friday, Andreas, Angela and Amos returned to their home in Butuan. Angela has healed nicely and was back to her pre-pregnant weight (not fair!) and looks great! Andreas is totally enjoying his new role as dad, and Amos is a cutie who looks like he may take after the other Staigmiller men before him and have colic. Angela worked very hard at breastfeeding, but Amos was never interested in latching onto the breast after getting used to that free-flowing, long nipple on the bottle. She was also not able to get enough milk going to satisfy him, using a breast pump. It was a sad decision, but once they are back in language school, they need to be doing one method of feeding or the other, not both, so he is now bottle-fed. Fortunately, Amos seems to thrive on the formula and is not allergic, and Adreas likes being able to help with the feedings.
We look forward to going up to Butuan to visit them in a month or so!
